The video above comes from New Zealand. Three New Zealand soldier were killed in Afghanistan and their comrades chose to honor them according to New Zealand culture. I was not only impressed, but also brought to tears.
Look at the video closely. There are indigenous soldiers, white soldiers, soldiers of both sexes honoring the fallen. At the end, everyone returns to a more classical European approach and the Anglican vicar quietly walks the hearse out of the compound.
Yes, I do think this is what Christianity can look like when it fully inculturates in an appropriate fashion into the guest country. I also think that this is how it inculturates when it properly adopts certain customs without giving away any of the essence of Scripture and Tradition.
