I have heard more than one Orthodox priest comment that if you are afraid of organized religion then you need to become Eastern Orthodox. If you look at the situation in the USA and most of the world outside the ancient patriarchates, with our multiple jurisdictions and our multiple traditions, there is some significant truth to saying that we are the world’s most disorganized organized religion. GRIN.
