What do you call a group of Orthodox fiction writers? Are they a gaggle? Are they a herd? Are they a zeal? Are they a flock? (“Quoth the Raven, ‘Nevermore!'”) Are they a colony? Are they a tribe? Maybe they are even a pod?
Well, whatever they are, there is a site for Orthodox fiction writers, http://orthodoxfiction.com. You may wish to go there and see some of the writers listed. Some have been published in both SF magazines and in regular Orthodox press. Some are in independent publishing houses. But, this subject of writers just keeps on burgeoning. So, listed below is something from the website:
Here is the blurb from their site:
Have you ever asked the question, “Are there Christian Orthodox authors of fiction out there, and if so, who?”
No? Maybe you should! Fiction in all genres explores the impact life has on us and on each other. Fiction written by Orthodox Christians may also include the impact God and our beliefs can have on us. Yet, some fiction written by Orthodox aren’t as overt in the religious aspects. In either case, fiction written by an Orthodox author will tend to present an Orthodox world view in which life’s issues are set (though there is no guarantee that it will).
The purpose of this site is to be a central list of authors who are Orthodox Christians so that those interested in both Orthodoxy and enjoy reading good fiction can find published works by Orthodox authors.

I’d call them “Ortho-authors”. Kinda rolls off the tongue.

I noticed the link “orthodoxfiction” seems to lead nowhere.
Has this website or group of individuals moved?
Fr. Ernesto says
Probably. LOL. This is an “older” post.
