I do not believe David Wilkerson is correct. Nevertheless, this is his latest prophecy.

[Later edit: I am convinced that David Wilkerson is very wrong in this message. I post it so that people may know what to avoid.]

I can’t seem to remember what the OT penalty was for those who made prophecies that failed to come true. Maybe someone recalls what that was…..

Stoning, but it is not a New Testament punishment.

What’s up with fundamentalist in the U.S. and the economy, is our economic viability the only proof that God does or does not care for us? Also is it coincidental that he sees this as imminent after a black democrat is elected president, would he have made the same prediction had McCain been elected? Thanks for sharing, I had not seen this.
Fr. Ernesto Obregón says
You hit a nail on the head that I had not thought about. It is true that many theologically conservative Christians of various types all assume that our economic viability is just about the only proof that God does or does not care for us. Suffering is equated with judgment because the USA is seen as a Christian nation somewhat akin to Old Testament Israel. In fact, if you look at the Puritans, part of their goal was precisely to found a city shining on a hill.
Please note that the issue is not, at this point, whether or not the USA is a Christian nation. After all, there are several African countries where the percentage of active Christians in the population is actually higher than the USA. Yet, oddly enough, there is no mention made in the USA about their not having God’s blessing when things go wrong in their country. That connection between economic blessing and being the Christian nation is a particularly American cultural phenomenon.

Fr, don’t partake of the sins of others and propagate them!
Unless you posted this as a warning to avoid the likes of his warnings!
Fr. Ernesto Obregón says
Yep, I posted this as a warning to avoid this type of warning. I guess I did not make it clear. I will do a little edit on the original post.
