I have not put on immediate post-debate thoughts before except for the difference between some of my perceptions and the analysts. To my surprise, several of the analysts thought that this was the best debate. There was a clear and definite split among the analysists. And, the split was not Republican vs Democrat. But, most in each party thought it had been the best debate. Of course, they differed on who had won, but the surprise was the agreement, given that I thought this was the worst debate.
I also need to post that my sister thought it was a great and needed debate. So, if you are reading this series of blogs, then you need to look at my blogging with a jaundiced eye, as my “take” on the debate seems to be a minority take among both Republicans and Democrats. Maybe we simply like a good fight in this country!

Can’t believe you sat through the whole thing. More of the same old. If there were a Perot I would love to vote for him which is why I did not vote for George Sr second time around. My take “We are in the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression.” Wait maybe 1987. No we just have to reform everything. Padre you have the steadfastness of a political elephant, r u sure you’re not a republican?

Sigh, I am a moderate. I agree with Republicans on abortion and individual freedom. But, I agree with Democrats on human rights, and needed social programs. Depending on the subject I will sound like one or the other.
